ABOUT US
Northern Star Sports is an afterschool sports program for the students at Stetser Elementary School. This program aims to teach character objectives such as teamwork, effective communication, perseverance, leadership, and responsibility through sports. Northern Star Sports encourages students to create goals and pursue their dreams.
Timeline of Northern Star Sports:
2012 - 2013: NSS currently has 26 coaches that are continuing to volunteer at Stetser Elementary with the plans to start up at Main Street Elementary at the end of the Spring 2013 semester.
2011 - 2012: NSS had 13 coaches that work with approximately 40 Stetser Elementary Students on a weekly basis.
2010 - 2011: Northern Star Sports had it's pilot year.
2009 - 2010: Co-Founders, Annalicia Geeter and Kate Fetterman, developed the idea for NSS and put their ideas to action.
